Mike Linscott Award

This annual award is named after founding member, patron and long time Director, Mike Linscott. Mike was an example to all with the commitment, passion and love that he gave to the show. As a scout, he inspired and encouraged youth members to always do their best, to help other people and be passionate and loyal members of the gang.

The recipient of this award displays these qualities; they go above and beyond what is expected of them as a cast member, being a great example to their peers and offering support to the production team. All cast members are eligible for this award and each week points are confidentially allocated to cast by (non cast) production members.

In 2016, Mike Linscott was recognised as the Patron for Scouts Shouts Youth Theatre. As our first Director, it was Mike’s ideas and creative genius that made Scouts Shouts the show that it has become today. With support of his wife Carole and family, the Linscott family have been firm supporters of the show.

Most Outstanding Crew Award

Alan Thompson Award

Scouts Shouts was blessed to have Alan Thompson as our Backstage Director for many years and he was a genius when it came to creating scenery and props for the theatre. Each year an award is presented to a financial member of our crew who goes above and beyond, as Alan always did.

The recipients of this honoured award have been nominated by their peers as a valued member of our gang who have been recognised for their dedication and commitment to both their role and the overall success of the show.
